The stud link anchor chain is a chain connecting the anchor and the hull to transmit and buffer the external force of the ship. It also produces a part of the friction. Viewed from the top of the ship, the anchor chain is straight, but there is a section under the water that is close to the seabed (actually attached to the sea floor).
